THE LIGHTS FLICKERED ONCE. THEN TWICE. THEN EVERYTHING WENT DARK.
For one long moment, the tunnels beneath the library were completely silent. Then the emergency lights flashed on, casting red shadows across the enclosures. Alarms screamed through the tunnels. Gates rattled. Monitors blinked. Somewhere deep below, something heavy slammed against metal.
In the control room, every screen flashed the same message:
SECURITY SYSTEMS HAVE BEEN SHUT DOWN.
DINOSAURS ARE NO LONGER CONTAINED.
Panic spread quickly.
Nedrick Vale was gone.
The systems he had been working on were offline, overridden from inside the control network. In his attempt to steal dinosaur DNA, Nedrick had shut everything down—locks, cameras, power, and the barriers protecting each enclosure.
Dr. Eliza Fern rushed to one of the control panels, trying to bring the system back online. “It’s locked us out,” she said. “We can’t get through.”
Hammond turned quickly to you. “We need another way in. See if you can tap into the computer system. Try to bring security back up.”
For a moment, the screen flickered. A loading bar appeared. Then the speakers crackled, and a familiar voice filled the control room.
Nedrick Vale.
“Ah-ah-ah…” the computer taunted in his voice. “You didn’t say the magic word.”
The message repeated across the screen again and again.
ACCESS DENIED.
ACCESS DENIED.
ACCESS DENIED.
Dr. Malcolm Reed went very still. “He planned this,” he said.
Every system had failed, and something had already escaped.
Deep below the library, a massive enclosure stood open. It belonged to the largest dinosaur. The strongest. The most dangerous.
The ground seemed to shake as it moved through the tunnels, no longer contained and no longer controlled.
Dr. Grantley Stone rushed to the control room windows, his face pale as he watched the warning lights flash across the panels. “That enclosure was reinforced,” he said. “If the T-Rex got out, the others won’t stay contained for long.”
He was right.
One by one, more enclosures began to fail. Gates unlocked. Cameras went dark. Warning lights flashed. More dinosaurs slipped into the shadows beneath the library.
Hammond stared at the screens, his confidence fading. “This wasn’t supposed to happen.”
Dr. Malcolm Reed looked at him grimly. “But it did.”
By the time the backup systems came online, it was too late. The dinosaurs were no longer just in the tunnels. They had escaped the library, and now they were spreading into the city.
Reports began coming in from everywhere—sightings near buildings, parks, sidewalks, and businesses. Some dinosaurs were hiding. Some were wandering. Some were frightened. All of them were out of place in a world they did not understand.
The team could not handle it alone. They needed help.
They need you.
The dinosaurs have escaped, and the city is counting on you.
As you read and record your minutes, you’ll help the Jurassic Library team track the escaped dinosaurs, follow reports from around the city, and move the rescue mission forward. Every minute you log helps the team get closer to finding the dinosaurs and bringing them safely back.
Keep reading. Keep recording. Stay alert.
*All reading levels are unlocked, so keep recording your minutes
There will not be any new challenges added during this phase. Instead, continue working on any unfinished challenges already available.
Complete challenges to earn bonus points and drawing tickets while helping the team prepare for the dangerous work ahead.
The security systems have failed, and the dinosaurs have escaped into the city.
Your mission is to help the Jurassic Library team track each dinosaur, report its location, and help bring it safely back under control.
Search carefully. Follow the clues. Do not approach the dinosaurs on your own.
When you find a dinosaur, enter its SECRET CODE to alert the team. Once the location is reported, the experts will respond, contain the dinosaur, and move it to safety.
Every dinosaur you help locate brings the city one step closer to being safe again.
Find all 8 of the escaped dinosaurs and enter their secret codes to help the team protect the city and earn yourself a drawing ticket and a small prize.
Stay alert, the T-Rex is still out there.
